An example is a ceremonial ritual being used for a seemingly mundane purpose, like a job prospect.

Ceremonial vs. natural magic: Ceremonial magic focuses on the supernatural through invocation, while natural magic (in a Renaissance context) deals directly with natural forces and substances like herbs and stones.
