The world is the believer’s prison. The best action in prison is patience and control of one’s anger. The believer has no country in the world, His land will be there tomorrow in the Afterlife.

When Allah inspires your tongue to ask, know that He wants to give.

Make Tawbah not just for sins you’ve committed, but also for obligations you haven’t fulfilled.

Abdullah ibn Mubarak (rahimullah)

Sufyan Ath-Thawri رحمه الله said:

“Whoever prays the five daily prayers has shown his gratitude to Allah! And whoever supplicates for his parents at the end of the prayers has shown his gratitude to them!”

[Tafsir Al-Qurtubi: 14/65]

“If you see yourself falling into sins, my advice is look at your Salaah. Because if the Salaah does not prevent you from wrongdoing, then something is wrong with your Salaah. It is not doing its job, the Salaah is there to stop you from doing haraam.”

“Do not let the bad thoughts of yourself and abundance of your sins prevent you from calling upon your Lord for indeed He answered the Dua of Iblees when he said: ‘Oh my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected’.”
