    Al-Khidr is a wise figure who is said to be God’s servant and representative on Earth. He is associated with the sea, and is said to guard it and help those in distress.

    In the Quran, Al-Khidr is described as a servant of God with knowledge, and is questioned by the prophet Moses about some of his actions. Al-Khidr explains that his actions were fair and appropriate, despite appearing otherwise to Moses.

    Different Muslim groups have different views on Al-Khidr. Some consider him a prophet or saint, while others view him as a legendary or historical figure.
