OpenTajdīd
OpenTajdīd is a living epistemic platform for the revival (tajdīd) of Islamic thought, language, and knowledge systems in the modern world — guided wholly by the metaphysical centrality of tawḥīd and the ontological realities revealed in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
It is not an academic think tank nor a secularized Islamic studies project, but a self-purifying method of knowing (maʿrifah
), thinking (tafakkur
), and returning (tawbah
) — dedicated to dismantling false worldviews while rebuilding an authentic epistemic architecture rooted in Revelation. We are not building a “Muslim” version of modern academia. We are cultivating an Islamic mind — spiritually alert, intellectually sovereign, metaphysically anchored, using first principles and systems thinking to repair the epistemic fracture of the Ummah — a fracture caused by secularism, colonization, and disconnection from divine revelation.
OpenTajdīd is a spiritual knowledge architecture — not a digital garden, but a living qiblah of thought, aligning knowledge with Allah’s Names and Realities. “This is not just information management. This is tajdīd of the nafs, through ʿilm.”
The Ummah’s current knowledge systems suffer from:
- Epistemic fragmentation (scattered fields, divorced from the Divine)
- Disciplinization (secular categories imposed on sacred
- meaning)
- Colonized cognition (accepting frameworks hostile to revelation)
We respond by reviving Tajdīd — active renewal of thought and perception, not reformism or intellectual mimicry.
- OpenTajdīd - The parent initiative and open-source tajdīd framework guiding all sub-projects.
- Axe of Ibrahim - A high-impact project targeting polemics, spiritual misdirection, and ideological warfare. It includes:
- Refutations of common attacks on Islam
- Analysis of false paradigms (liberalism, atheism, feminism, etc.)
- Tawḥīdic Reorientation of corrupted worldviews
Method
Still unsure where to begin? Ask yourself:
“What part of my thinking is still colonized by a non-Tawḥīdic worldview?”
And then search here. This entire system exists to help you trace, dismantle, and reorient it — back to Allah ﷻ.
What Does “Open” in OpenTajdīd Stand For?
The prefix “Open” in OpenTajdīd is not just a technical or stylistic choice — it encodes the epistemic posture, ethical orientation, and institutional philosophy of the project. It breaks away from elitist, gatekept, institutionalized, or commodified models of knowledge, and aligns instead with the prophetic model of daʿwah, waḥy, and tadwīn.
Because knowledge isn’t ours. It’s a trust (amānah
) from Allah.
And because truth, once discovered, must be propagated — not privatized.
We pull from Qur’an, Sunnah, books, papers, old blogs, oral traditions, and even hostile sources — everything becomes meaningful once refracted through the lens of tawḥīd.
OpenTajdīd is open in:
- Source — built collaboratively, forkable, remixable
- Access — no paywalls, no academic gatekeeping
- Spirit — welcoming to all who seek truth with humility
- Methodology — not cultish, but principled and transparent
“Tajdīd is not a paper to be published. It is a life to be realigned.” Tajdīd is not a final product but an evolving journey of purification (tazkiyah) and clarity (furqān). It is a waqf of knowledge, open to all seekers, closed only to those who corrupt.
The Axe of Ibrāhīm
The Axe of Ibrāhīm represents the intellectual furqān of this project — a blade of truth that cuts through secular illusions, philosophical distortions, and epistemological idolatry (shirk fī al-maʿrifah
).
It stands as a symbol for:
- Epistemic Renewal — Rejecting colonial categories of knowledge, and returning to fitrah-anchored cognition
- Refutation of Falsehood — Answering orientalists, liberals, atheists, ex-Muslims, and Quranists on first principles, not apologetics
- Reconstruction of Truth — Building an ecosystem of insights, axis, moc, and portals that guide the user to Allah, not just knowledge
